Heeding Ramlath’s request to save her marriage from the clutches of actress Nayantara, several women’s welfare organizations have been pitching support by way of letters and calling her.According to Kalpana, Head of Jhansi Rani Women’s Protective Association, it is wrong on the part of Nayantara to come in the way of a marriage which had been strong for 15 years.

“As a reputed actress, Nayantara has many avenues to shape her career and should not be the cause to break a marriage. Artistes like her have to set an example as every act is followed by scores of her fans. It could send wrong signals to the society,” said Kalpana.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has been selected as a jury member at the International Emmy Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

The award function will be held in New York in November.

"I am honoured to be a part of the International Emmy awards 2009 jury and feel humbled representing my country on this international stage," said Ghai, who directed box office hits like "Pardesh" and "Taal".
