Academy award winner A.R. Rahman performed at the White House on the occasion of Obama’s first state dinner. Rahman performed along with his troupe in the presence of President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Besides Rahman, the high profile event also saw some brilliant performances by Jennifer Hudson (of Dreamgirls fame), Grammy winner Kurt Elling and the National Symphony Orchestra.
