At the fag end of his life, superstar Krishna has landed in a cheating case in connection with a film made more than 20 years ago.
The petitioner, Anand, lodged a complaint with the Criminal court stating that Krishna and his brother Adiseshagiri Rao, had forged his father’s signature on the production of a Telugu film Rajakeeya Chadarangam in 1988. He said his father had made the film partially, but Krishna had illegally got the rights to complete the film and released it by forging the signature.
The court directed the City Central Crime Station to register a cheating case against Krishna and Adiseshagiri Rao. Accordingly, the police filed the case and started the inquiry.
