In a shocking incident today evening, the residence of director Bharathiraja was attacked by unidentified masked persons. Bharathiraja was out of station at Theni and was not available for comment. There are no reports of injuries to anyone in the incident.
The perpetrators are said to have arrived in a jeep and pelted stones at the house repeatedly before making off. It is reported that upon hearing about this incident, Bharathiraja immediately alerted Seeman about the possibility of a similar attack on his residence. Fortunately, no such attack took place. Bharathiraja has started from Theni and is expected to arrive in Chennai soon.
