The Ajith starrer ‘Asal’ has crossed Rs.18 crore in collections in only 3 days. This Sivaji Productions’ film starring Ajith, Sameera and Bhavana was released on 5th of this month. This film was greatly looked forward to by the audiences and the former Health Minister Anbumani and his associates in Pasumai Thayagam asked for a stay of the film as it contained scenes where Ajith was smoking a cigar in it.
There was a question if the release of ‘Asal’ would be postponed but it was released on 5th as planned. It was released in 550 screens in 41 countries worldwide. In Tamilnadu alone it was released in 360 theatres.
With a stylish performance by Ajith this film has grossed Rs.18 crore in just 3 days and box office circles report that advance bookings are over up to next Thursday. Distributors are reporting that the audience is very excited in watching the film.
