Before Sarika parted ways from Kamal Haasan, she had been the costume designer in most of Kamal’s movies, When they split, she tried to restart her acting career by appearing in a number of roles. She did a single dance number in Punnagai Poove, and also acted in a number of Hindi films, including the role of a Parsi lady in Parzania, which fetched her the National Award for best actress.

Now it’s the turn of Lalithakumari, who is getting divorced from Prakashraj.
The former actress, who donned a good number of supporting roles, including a part in K. Balachander’s hit movie Manathil Urudhi Vendum, quit cinema soon after marrying Prakashraj. Now that the two have filed for divorce by mutual consent, Lalitha is hoping to resurrect her acting career. And guess who came forward to help her? Director K. Balachander, who introduced Prakashraj to tinseltown. Lalitha will play Sathyaraj’s wife in Kavithalaya’s upcoming movie Muriyadi.
