Top Kollywood Heroine Now ”Nayanthara”

Malayalam film ‘Manasin Akkarai’ was Nayantara’s first film. She plays the only daughter of an old Communist couple. The film featured Jayaram and Chemeen Sheela also and one can see Nayan’s meteoric rise in films today.Hari’s ‘Iyya’ was a base for this. It was her first Tamil film and the hero was Sarath Kumar. Then she acted with Rajini in ‘Chandramukhi.’ Telugu films followed where she became a top heroine. Her shattered love affair with Simbu was a setback but she bounced back to grandeur.

She was all glamour in ‘Billa’ and all character in ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini.’ With films like ‘Egan,’ ‘Sathyam,’ ‘Kuselan’ and Villu,’ she’s the top Kollywood heroine now.She has been signed on opposite Karthi in a film produce dby Lingusamy’s Tirupathi Brothers. It’s said that she will get a whopping 12 crores for this, more than what Trisha or Ileana command. Once ‘Kuselan’ gets released, maybe getting Nayantara as heroine would be costlier!
