Ecluse (Water Barrier), a short film produced by P L Thenappan was screened at Cannes Film festival recently. Thenappan had produced several Tamil movies including Kamal Haasan starrers Kadhala Kadhala, Panchathantiram and Simbhu starrer Vallavan.
According to the producer, Ecluse is a love story set in Paris. It is about the trauma a child undergoes as her parents are not in good terms. Directed by Mahendran Baskar, the movie shot in HD Cam has cinematography and editing by Jeyakeethan Nagaiyah. ‘I am happy that Ecluse was screened at Cannes. It was a moment of joy and proud,’ says Thenappan, on his film being a part of one of the most acclaimed film festivals in the world.
