Bhavana’s Upcomeing Movie Shot In Uzbekistan
August 18, 2008
The trend to film certain sequences in foreign locales or at times the entire film has become quite common in Kollywood of late. Ajith’s Billa was shot extensively in Malaysia and Vikram-starrer Kanthaswamy was filmed in Mexico. Then directors Raju Sundaram and Prabu Deva were in the news scouting for suitable foreign locations for their respective films.
More recently, Satyam set a new trend of premiering at a foreign land – Malaysia. And the list is not exhaustive. The technicians from Kollywood have been imprinting their mark on foreign locales like never before.
The latest to join this bandwagon is Jayam Kondaan. The film, which stars Bhavana and Vinay in the lead roles, has some scenes shot in Uzbekistan. Director R. Kannan said that the Jayam Kondaan team was in Uzbekistan for eight days to film a few song sequences and important scenes. The film is due to hit the screens on August 29th.
