Popular advertisement filmmaker Thyagarajan Kumararaja has managed a coup of sorts by bringing Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff to act in his maiden venture as director.We had already reported that Jackie Shroff will play hero in Tamil for the first time and that the movie has been christened ‘Aaranya Kaandam’, which would be produced by S P B Charan.
When queried as to how he managed to convince Jackie, Kumararaja says, ‘the role required a senior person. I got to meet Shroff through a friend. He liked the story and immediately agreed to be a part of it’.The cast also includes Ravi Krishna, Sampath and Somasundaram of Kooththu-p-pattarai.
