When Selvaraghavan was asked why he had parted ways with Yuvan Shankar Raja he said,” I don’t know what to say. Yuvan is not up to the mark. Look at G V Prakash; he is so sincere and hard working. Recently he did not sleep or bathe for 4 days because of his involvement with me. This attitude can only the save the film. I can opt for people who have dedication to work with me. They should work laboriously. Mere friendship will not yield results. Yuvan has mentioned that I have not paid him. He is childish.
What is the use of asking me for payment? He should approach the producer regarding this. There is no such thing as 100% winning combination. Days are gone when music was given prominence. A film will be declared hit only if the script is good. Mere good song will not make a film hit. Yuvan should move every forward in every film. He should not stagnate. Friendship should not be a barrier for this. Yuvan has not spoken to me and I do not understand why he sacrificed my friendship for cinema.”
