Vijay has been asked to explain his stand on the petition filed against his procurement of land from the Tamil Nadu Housing Board. A clarification note is issued by the actor’s side in this regard, which explains how the procurement was effected.
According to the press release, Vijay purchased a land from the Board when it was auctioned. The land was, however, taken over for the metro rail project and allocations were made subsequently to compensate by the Housing Board.
It may be recalled that a dispute seems to have arisen out of this allocation, and a petition has been instigated by the original owner of the land against Vijay.
