Soundarya Rajinikanth, second daughter of Superstar got engaged with boy friend Ashwin Kumar on Feb 17, 2010. Ashwin has completed his master’s degree from the Stanford University in USA and is now working in his family business. He is the son of real estate tycoon Ram Kumar in Chennai.

Both the families knew each other for long time. Soundarya Rajinikanth and Ashwin Kumar were friends but this development in friendship is new. The marriage will be a love cum arranged marriage. Soundarya’s elder sister Aishwarya wed cine star Dhanush some years ago.

At present Soundarya Rajinikanth is directing animation film Sultan, the warrior. Her own production company Ocher Picture Productions is at the helm. Her debut venture into producing film came to reality with the release of flick Goa on Jan 29, 2010. Sultan is scheduled to hit theatres in April, 2010.

Engagement ceremony took place at Hotel Park Sheraton in Chennai. Soundarya exchanged rings with groom Ashwin in the presence of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and many VIPs including actors Kamal Haasan.

Soundarya Rajinikanth and Ashwin Kumar will tie knot only after the release of both Sultan and Endhiran. The marriage date is not announced yet.

Finally, Ajith’s and Vishnuvardhan have found a producer for their long in the pipeline pet project Billa 2.

Director and producer Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose have agreed in principle to produce this venture under their Tirupathi Brothers banner.

Vishnuvardhan had given the script of his Billa 2 which is a sort of a prequel to the original Billa to Lingusamy who smells a hit.

Now the final round of discussions are taking place as far as the financials of the movie are concerned.

If Lingu and Vishnu are able to come to an understanding regarding the amount, and then Vishnu will make it on first copy basis. Ajith will start work on the film once he completes the talkie portion of Venkat Prabhu’s multi-starrer Mankatha

South Indian Superstar RajiniKanth’s younger daughter Soundarya will get married to Ashwin Ramkukar in Chennai today . The couple were recently engaged. Ashwin is a Chennai based businessman.

The high profile wedding ceremony took place at Meyammai Hall in Chennai today. The videos and new images will be uploaded here as soon as they are available.

Many celebrities were present at the event and the big names are as follows, Aishwarya Bachchan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi and many more. Still many more guests are expected for this big wedding ceremony at Chennai.

It is reported that the fans of Rajinikath are requested to not attend for this ceremony. In an official statement Rajinikath said that though he wanted to invite all the fans to his daughter’s marriage, he was unable to do so because of space constraint and logistic reasons. But, he wanted their blessings for his daughter.

It is reported that the superstar gifted the new couple with a new apartment.
“Ashwin is too handsome”, said Rajini, as he gave a small talk on his would be son-in-law. A fun-filled Karaoke session added more colour to the evening.

Says a source, “Soundarya was looking her best in a dark blue salwar and the beautiful mehendi. When old Tamil hits were sung, Rajini joined in to sing ‘Adho andha paravai pola’, and made the event even livelier. A cocktail party was also thrown in for the guests.”

Takita Takita movie stars are newcomers. Bharat Thakur and Bhumika Chawla, producer of the Takita Takita movie have done a great deal of the promotional activities to elevate the movie. lets find out Takita Takita review, to see whether those promotional activities will pay off or not.

Story:

Thakita Thakita movie is about 8 college going youngsters aspiring to build their careers – Nandini, Kishore, Mahesh, Scud, Bhakti, Jessica, Chandana and Sridhar.

Nandini and Kishore fell in love, but Nandini’s parents are against their love, while Scud and Kishore don not talk to each other since 5 years. Jessica is a foreign student interested in fashion and Sridhar loves Chandana, but never express. These youngsters face several hurdles in the process of fostering their career. And the plot unveils when how they try and resolve them

Analysis:

Bhumika Chawla and Bharat Thakur might have spend a lot on promoting the movie, but looks like their efforts are gone in vain as Thakita Thakita tumbles at the box office. Once again ascribe it to poor narration, weak screenplay and lack of proper story. Director Srihari Nanu has gone wrong completely by not choosing a proper story and getting the best out from the characters.

This movie is an attempt to show all the contemporary sensitive issues like lovers suicide, acid attacks on girls, etc, but they were not been able to showcase properly. Those scenes lack emotion and look dramatized rather.

Time and again, we’ve been discussing about young directors foraying into Telugu cinema industry – once again we accentuate on the maturity levels of the director. He needs to be a visionary and may be Thakita Thakita director Srihari Nanu needs to undergo a crash course once again in direction.

Thakita Thakita lacks flavor, which is the most important thing for a youthful entertainer. The director did not view through rose-tinted glasses and could not glorify the college days – in fact many scenes have resembled ‘Happy Days’. The crucial flash back episode, which has a build up to the end, did not come out well as it lacked the required trigger.

The first half once again has gone only for establishing the identities of the characters and their career goals – mind you there are 8. The story was revolving only on Sridhar and Chandana pair overlooking the remaining. And the second half just keeps running while we wait for the movie to be finished

Performance:

Sridhar has done reasonably well. Looks like hero Shivaji has dubbed for Sridhar. This man has good potential, but he need to work a lot on expressions.

Chandana looks beautiful, but she has to improve on emotional scenes.

Kishore does not have any dialogue and cannot understand why he was casted. Scud has done alright and Mahesh is adequate.

Jessica’s character is ludicrous. Bhumika Chawla and Anushka play a cameo while Nagarjuna comes initially as a narrator.

Finally, Thakita Thakita movie lacks conviction and there’s a lot of miscasting. It is not connecting although the movie has some practicalities. The story isn’t neither new-fangled nor fascinating and the director failed to narrate at least a poor track into a good cinematic one.

Actress as well as producer Bhoomika’s new flick ‘Thakita Thakita’ is hitting the big screens today. The movie is being directed by Srihari Nanu and he is confident about the film success as he comes out with a different concept which will be accepted by everyone. The film introduces 6 new actors, actresses to Telugu film industry. The film is being produced by Bharat Thakur under the banner, ‘Downtown Films’ banner. The world famous leading overseas production company FICUS has bagged the USA theatrical rights of both Tamil and Telugu rights of Rajinikanth’s forthcoming much hyped heavy budgeted film ‘Robo’. It is being directed by veteran filmmaker Shankar with a heavy budget of nearly 200 crores.

‘Endhiran’ is the biggest ever never made Indian film not only in the terms of budget but also in the film cast and crew which include Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles and other popular actors such as Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Kalabavan Mani.

Entire people in the world are waiting for the release of ‘Robo’ but for one or the other reason the movie is getting postponed for its release. It was said that the film is going to hit the sliver screens on September 24th but there was also another buzz among the movie buffs is that it is going to be postponed for Diwali release.
